The ICDS Project Shargole today inaugurated a week-long awareness program (from March 01 to 08) ahead of International Women’s Day 2023.
The first day of the program started with the welcome speech by CDPO Farida Banoo. Issa Ali, Sarpanch of Pashkum -B Panchayat Halqa was the chief guest at Tharumsa -II Anganwadi Centre. Dr Zarina, Hassina Batool and Kaneez Fatima were present as the special guests.
Issa Ali thanked CDPO for conducting such an awareness program in their village. He briefed about the schemes of ICDS Department that are beneficial to the villagers. He advised villagers to take maximum benefit of the welfare schemes.
Dr Zarina talked about how to protect dental-related problems of young and adolescent girls in day-to-day life and also spoke at length about the importance of women’s day.
The resource person of Special Cell for Women, Hasina Batool briefed about the problems, being faced by women in society. She also screened a short film in the meeting hall.
The resource person from One Stop Centre informed the women how to get out of stress and how they can take the help of such centres that run in the district.
The area supervisor Kacho Mustafa also briefed about the rights of women guaranteed in the Indian Constitution and how to protect their rights. He thanked all the guests and the public for attending the awareness program.
