UGC NET 2022 exam pattern defines the structure of the examination paper. The exam pattern generally includes the number of questions, types of questions (subjective or objective), number of sections, marks allotted to each section, the total number of marks, mode of examination, the language of the paper, time duration, etc. The exam pattern also consists of the marking scheme defined by the concerned authority.

UGC NET Exam Pattern for Paper I & II

- Paper-I is of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It is primarily designed to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The paper consists of 50 objective type compulsory questions.
- Paper-II has 100 objective type questions, which are based on the subject selected by the candidate.
Nature of Questions in UGC NET December 2022
UGC NET 2022 will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates will have to select the right answer from among the options available for each question. Answering all the MCQs have been issued to be mandatory from the exam conducting authority.
