Two drug peddlers arrested in Pattan

2 Drug Peddlers arrested; 5 Kgs & 300 grams of contraband Poppy Straw like substance recovered at Jheel Bridge Singhpora Pattan; Case registered; Vehicle seized                                                Police under the supervision of Sh Mohd Nawaz-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by PSI Zilal Ahmad, IC PP Mirgund arrested 2 Drug Peddlers namely Waheed Ahmad Bhat S/O Gh Mohiuddin & Owais Bashir Shikari S/O Bashir Ahmad residents of Sher Colony Sopore who were travelling in a Load Carrier bearing registration JK01T-8427 and we’re intercepted during naka checking at Jheel Bridge Singhpora Pattan.

During the search 5 Kgs & 300 grams of contraband Poppy Straw like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately. The said vehicle has also been seized.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.                                                  General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
