R K Shishir of IIT Bombay zone is the top ranker in JEE Advanced 2022 and is 18 year old. He obtained 314 marks out of 360 marks, he also secured an All India Rank 56 in JEE Mains 2022.

Bengaluru’s RK Shishir has topped the Common Rank List (CRL) from the IIT Bombay zone for JEE Advanced 2022. Shishir secured 314 marks out of 360. Among female candidates, Tanishka Kabra, from the IIT Delhi zone, emerged as the topper with 277 marks.

Not only JEE exam but Shishir also secured rank 1 in KCET under the pharma category. He scored a total of 178/180 in KCET and secured a CET percentage of 100. In his CBSE class 12 board exams, he scored 97.9 percent, The JEE Advanced 2022 was held on August 28 in two shifts.

Having scored the highest-ever percentage in the IIT entrance exam, RK bagged 314 marks out of 360, Shishir got AIR 56 in the JEE Mains Exam this year. He had topped the KCET examination as well and secured 100 percentile with perfect 178 score out of 180. His parents were over the moon and extremely proud of their son’s achievement.

As for Shishir, he developed a penchant for Physics and Chemistry and decided to pursue the subject. Always a meritorious student, Shishir was keen on cracking the IIT-JEE exam and finding a place in IIT Bombay. He scored 98.2% in his Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE Board Exams.

On his journey to achieve success, Shishir would spend about 12 – 14 hours a day. This included the coaching as well as 6 to 8 hours of self-study. Committed to crack the entrance, he had joined The Narayana Group classroom program and has been consistent in his preparation throughout.

When the pandemic struck, Shishir used the extra time and opportunity to increase his preparation. He shared that he increased the time to study and was glad of the extra time available.
