JKBOPEE has issued a revised Seat Matrix for MBBS/BDS courses in Both Govt and Private Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, The Seat Matrix issued earlier remains withdrawn.
JKBOPEE had earlier issued a seat matrix according to which a total of 53 MBBS and 13 BDS seats were given to the EWS category candidates, whereas 466 MBBS and 52 BDS seats where shown in the box of General Merit Candidates.
But now BOPEE has decreased the Seats from the box of OM candidates and has given those seats to the EWS candidates, according to the new Seat Matrix EWS has now 107 seats which includes 96 MBBS and 11 BDS seats across the Govt Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, whereas the OM Seats have fallen to 423 MBBS and 54 BDS seats across all the Govt Medical Colleges of J&K.
At the same time many of OM candidates are in a state of Shock, they were getting their due course and College as per the previous Seat Matrix Chart but now they are out of the race, they feel they got betrayed by the LG govt of Jammu and Kashmir said a student.

They robbed off our hopes. It is not fair.
Not fair after making tentative seat matrix public before, we had given our preferences and had celebrated our long long , harsh quest. It is very inhumane.
They could have implemented this from next year.
Why is open merit always robbed like this? It is a huge injustice.
I cannot fathom what happened to us.
It is very unfortunate and disgusting for us, my family and i are devasted. If government doesn’t pay heed or change this, it will lead to a lot of problems, suicides and depression among the students who lost the seats to ews.
Why would it happen at the last hour.
Why did they lie about being understaffed before but were actually preparing this huge genocide on us.
This freak chairman should be withdrawn and taught lessons on how to not play with lives.
If they really wanted to give justice they should kept it to next year or they SHOULD HAVE NOT RELEASED ANY TENTATIVE SEAT MATRIX AND GIVE HOPES. ..

You are absolutely right,it’s sheer injustice with those candidates who have qualified for the earlier seats in OM,After selection rules are being changed and it’s a voilation to the reservation rules reserved categories mostly of them don’t deserve.Kab tak yeh category system chalta Raha ga,sheer injustice for the deserving ones.
