DLSA Kargil organizes special Lok Adalat, 92 cases disposed of

Kargil: As per the direction of Ladakh Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority Kargil today organized a special Lok Adalat during which a total of 92 cases were disposed of.

In the Lok Adalat four benches were constituted under the abled guidance of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kargil, Aijaz Ahmad Khan for different kinds of cases which included pending in the Courts like criminal compoundable matters, cases u/s 138 NI Act. MACT cases, Bank recovery cases, Matrimonial disputes and other civil cases etc.

The first bench was presided over by Aijaz Ahmad Khan Charmin DLSA/PDSJ Kargil, the second bench was presided over by Tsewang Phunstog Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, the third bench was presided over by Mooner Ahmad Mir Munsiff Sankoo while the fourth bench was presided over by Daldan Angmoo Munsiff Drass.

A total number of 118 cases were referred to the Special Lok Adalat out of which a total of 92 cases were disposed of and out of the same, an amount of Rs 15,98,200 was recovered as settlement amount and an amount of Rs 37,500 was recovered as fine.
