Odisha NEET Counselling 2022: Eligibility

Candidates will have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to succeed in the Odisha NEET counselling session in the year 2022. All the criteria to prove the eligibility are given below.

1st Criteria – Citizenship Status

  • The candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha OR Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in state of Odisha cadre

2nd Criteria – Age Group

  • The age of the candidate should have 17 years as of 31st December 2022
  • There is no limit of maximum age for any candidate who wants to apply for the counselling session

3rd Criteria – Academic Background

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
  • The candidate must have secured minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at class 12 for General Candidate (GE), 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for benchmark disability candidates (PC-GE).
  • The required mark for Physically Challenged candidate of SC/ST category is 40%.

Odisha NEET Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Entrance Examination: To apply for the counselling of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2022, the candidate must have cleared NEET 2022. Those who have not appeared for/qualified NEET 2022, will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Odisha NEET 2022 Reservation: The reservation policy for Odisha NEET counselling is as follows:

  • Read all the instructions and click on “Apply Now”. 
  • Provide details like personal, academic, address and others.
  • Also, the candidates need to upload the scanned image of their photograph and signature.
    • The size of the photograph should be between 35Kb to 20Kb
    • Size of signature should be between 30Kb to 15Kb.
    • The format of the signature and photograph should either be .jpeg or .jpg
  • Verify your details and proceed to “Submit”
  • After successfully submitting the online application form, candidates need to take a print out of the e-challan and deposit the requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India.

  • It is to be noted that the candidates will have to deposit INR 1240 (along with bank charges INR 60) an application fee on the second working day after the successful submission of the application form.
  • The applicant will receive a copy of the challan showing the transaction Id after the submission of fee.

Uttar Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2022 Registration Ends Today upneet.gov.in

UP NEET PG Counselling 2022: The Director General of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (DGME UP) will end the registration process for the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UP NEET PG) counselling 2022 today, September 28, 2022. Interested candidates can apply for the UP NEET PG 2022 counselling process by visiting the official website at upneet.gov.in. To apply for the UP NEET PG counselling, a candidate needs to pay a counselling fee of Rs 3000.

According to the schedule, the UP NEET PG 2022 merit list will be released on September 28 or 29. The counselling registration result will be declared on October 3 or 4, 2022.

NEET UG Counselling 2022 Latest Update: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the Counselling schedule for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for All India Quota anytime soon. Once published, eligible candidates can download the NEET UG Counselling Schedule by visiting the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in. All the candidates who have qualified the NEET UG examination 2022 will be eligible to register for it in online mode.

This year, the MCC will hold the Counselling process for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government colleges and 100% seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programmes on the grounds of NEET 2022. The NEET AIQ counselling process for 2022 will be divided into four rounds namely round 1, 2, mop up and stray vacancy.

Is there any Percentage of Reservations Under the PwD category/ Other Category?

  • The reservation policy of the Government of India is applicable to NEET (UG) Examination. According to this, in the Central Universities and Institutions, 10% of the seats are reserved for the category General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for the category Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and 5% seats (Horizontal Reservation) for PwBD candidates. “The minimum degree of disability should be 40% (Benchmark Disability) in order to be eligible for availing reservation for persons with specified disability,” reads the NEET UG Information Bulletin.
  • The candidates with a Disability shall be considered for admission in medical course against 5% of the total seats, in accordance with the criteria prescribed under the Regulation on Graduate Medical Education (1997) as amended up to 13-05-2019.
  • Thereafter, the candidates, upon selection under PwBD Category, shall have to produce a Disability Certificate issued by the Disability Assessment Board, which shall have assessed the candidate in reference to criteria prescribed under the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 as amended up to 14.05.2019.

Once the registrations are done, registered candidates will have to fill and lock the choices of courses and colleges. Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the authority will publish the seat allotment list on its official website.

Before proceeding with NEET UG counselling registration, candidates should be ready with the softcopy of the following documents: the NEET admit card, rank card, photograph of the candidate, signature, birth certificate or 10th pass certificate, 12th mark sheet, category certificate (if any), character certificate, medical fitness certificate, and identity proof.

During counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates shall be verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and/or Medical / Dental Colleges. NEET PG Counselling 2022 Latest Update: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has declared the provisional result for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2022, today September 27, 2022. Eligible candidates can download the NEET PG counselling provisional seat allotment result for MD, MS, Diploma, MDS, and DNB courses by visiting the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in. The last date to submit grievances is September 28(tomorrow) by 11:00 AM.

“Any discrepancy in the result may immediately be informed to MCC of DGHS upto 11:00 AM of 28.09.2022 through email on the Email id: mccresultquery@gmail.com after which the Provisional Result will be treated as ‘Final’,” MCC in an official notification said.

The candidates are advised to approach the allotted college/institute only after the declaration of the final result and only after downloading the allotment letter from the MCC website. The NEET PG counselling round one seat allotment result will be declared on September 28, 2022. As per the earlier notification, candidates can report to allotted colleges between September 29 and October 4, 2022.

NEET PG Counselling 2022 Latest News: The NEET PG Counselling 2022 was earlier postponed from September 1 to September 19. However, sources close to the development told India Today that the NEET PG counseling 2022 is now expected to begin on September 25 for the All India Quota (AIQ) admissions with a larger number of seats.

However, the competent authorities have not yet disclosed the new date or made any official announcement on the matter. This delay in the NEET PG Counselling process will severely affect the future prospects of the aspirants.

In general, the NEET PG counselling process starts in March but several factors caused a delay this year that primarily includes Covid pandemic and last year’s delayed application..

Speaking to the news daily, Gaurav Tyagi, medical counselor and founder of Career Xpert, said the academic session will begin late as the NEET counseling is being delayed. He also added that the next batch for 2023 will have less time with even more delay in the process of counseling.

He also stated that when the three-year curriculum will be disturbed, and the students will panic.
