Eligibility Criteria
Before proceeding with the application process, it’s essential to check whether you meet the eligibility requirements. To be eligible for admission, you must have completed your BA in Public Administration or Political Science with 24 credits either as core or as Generic Elective. Additionally, you need to have secured a minimum of 45% marks for Open Merit and 40% for Reserved Categories.

How to Fill the On-Line Application Form
Applying to the MA Programme in Public Administration at the University of Kashmir is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth application:
Step-1: Visit the University’s official website at http://www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on the “Admissions” link.
Step-2: Enter your Board “Registration No.” and click “Next.”
Step-3: Provide the required details and upload your latest passport-size photograph. Then, click “Next.”
Step-4: Review the entered information and make any necessary corrections. Once verified, click “Submit.” Don’t forget to get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.
Step-5: Deposit the non-refundable “Application Fee of Rs. 250/- (including Rs. 100/- as IT Fee) and Processing fee of Rs. 500/- for one programme i.e. Rs. 750/-” through online mode only.
Submission of Downloaded Application Form (Hard Copy)
After submitting the On-Line Application Form, you need not submit the downloaded Form (hard copy). However, it is advisable to retain it for future reference.
Verification of Documents/Certificates
During the online submission of the Application Form, the Directorate will not check or verify the educational/category certificates of the candidates. The responsibility to ensure eligibility lies solely with the candidates. However, the documents will be verified at any point during the admission process.
Additional Information
To avoid any inconvenience, candidates are advised to check the status of their Application Forms after three days of online submission. In case the status is not updated to “Fee Received” or “Fee Reconciliation is Pending,” the candidate should promptly contact the Directorate of IT & SS, University of Kashmir, along with the Application Form and all other relevant documents, within two days after the last date of submission. No claims will be entertained by the University beyond this deadline.
