It is further clarified for information of the candidates that;

  • The candidates having marked either of the options as answering option for the questions where two Answering Options are reflected, will be awarded full marks (one Mark).
  • Pursuant to Regulation XV (17) of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (Conduct of Examinations) Regulations 2013, the marks in nullified/deleted questions shall be allocated equally amongst rest of the valid questions on pro-rata basis so that maximum marks of the question Paper remain the same.

Chairman JKSSB reviews arrangements for Computer based
Written Test (CBT) Examination for posts of Junior Statistical
Assistants commencing from tomorrow.

The Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB)
held a review meeting to take stock of the arrangements put in place for smooth
conduct of forthcoming Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination for 91 posts of Junior
Statistical Assistants (10:00 AM onwards) at 19 Examination Venues/Centers in
Jammu, Anantnag, Srinagar, Budgam and Baramulla districts.

The aforesaid examination is scheduled to be conducted in multiple
batches and approximately, 24, 414 unique candidates are scheduled to appear at 19
different locations/venues setup in the aforesaid district of J&K UT.

Adequate security arrangements have been put in place at each
Examination Centre. The concerned District Magistrates have issued Prohibitory Orders
under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) around the Examination Centres
during the timing of examination.

A multi layered structure for supervision has also
been established with one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate for each Examination
Centre by respective district Administrations. In addition, to ensure transparency and
fairness during the examination process, the CBT shall be conducted under CCTVV
surveillance. Besides, 19 officers have been deployed as Examination Observers by the
General Administration Department.

The J&K Police has also deployed security
personnel for frisking and maintenance of law and order at each venue/ location.
An orientation programme was also organized by JKSSB at Jammu and
Srinagar for Examination Observers deployed by the General Administration
Department as well as General Observers/ Magistrates deployed by District
Administrations.

Further, the JKSSB has deployed Liaison Officers/ District Observer(s) for
each district in order to oversee the arrangements, Coordination with various
stakeholders and real-time redressal of issues, if any, at examination venues.
The JKSSB wishes best of luck to all the candidates taking CBT
examination from 07th December, 2021 onwards.

Also, the candidates scheduled to
take CBT examination are cautioned to desist from indulging in any unfair means
practicelike impersonation, carrying of prohibited items, communication device,
electronic equipment/ gadget or any other material with the intention of receiving
assistance.

The candidates found to be attempting/ using any unfair means practice
during the examination, shall be dealt with strictly, as per the provisions of the Jammu
and Kashmir Services Selection Board (Conduct of Examinations) Regulations, 2013
including debarring of such candidates for appearing in future examinations

JKSSB Vs Graduates, Class IV recruitment controversy 1

JKSSB advertised 8575 Class IV vacancies on 22 June 2021 for the domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir. The forms were submitted by over 2 lakh candidates from July to August 2020.

The Advertisement read: That the minimum qualification is 10th Pass and the maximum qualification bar is 12th Pass, and no one with higher qualifications will be eligible for the Class IV post.

Whereas, JKSSB received 328600 Applications from Jammu and Kashmir UT for Class IV posts, and after a long gap JKSSB conducted the Examinations for these 8575 Posts from 27 February to 1 March 2021.

After Normalization Process JKSSB Declared the result for Class IV posts in the month of July 2021, JKSSB then released the merit list of the candidates of each district, division.

At the same time JKSSB asked graduates to remove their candidature from JKSSB IV merit list, and if anyone fails to remove their candidature they will be charged with criminal proceedings and will also be bared from future exams by JKSSB.

Many of the candidates with higher qualifications cancelled their candidature from JKSSB class 4th Merit due to the fear of warning by JKSSB.

following which JKSSB released a revised merit list of Class IV, also issued a Document verification notification.

The revised merit list excluded near around 1800 candidates with higher qualifications.

After successful document verification process JKSSB released the 1st Selection list for 5091 posts out of a total 8575.

The Selection list received criticism and anger from the candidates, Class 4th candidates alleged that near around 2000 candidates who figured in selection list are with higher qualifications.
And when this thing came into the notice of JKSSB, The chairman Jhangir Khalid said that the Verification process is yet to end and its the Verifying authorities who have to look into this matter.

Now, Graduates are seen protesting every next day in the press colony srinagar against the injustice with them, they say: either make all the graduates eligible for Class IV posts or cancel the candidature of those who have joined by manipulating the verification process.

At the same time JKSSB is going to release the 2nd Selection for the remaining 3500+ Class IV posts, The list was sent to the JKGAD and is waiting for the approval by the concerned authorities.

Submission of Affidavit for the posts where the prescribed qualification is
Minimum Matric and Maximum 10+2 with Certificate/ITI/Diploma Trade,
for which the CBT Examination was conducted from 17th August, 2021 to
25th August 2021-regarding.


The JKSSB vide this office Notice No SSB/COE/Health/2021/7598-7606 dated 09-06-
2021, called candidates falling under consideration zone for the posts shown in Annexure “A” to this Notice and called for Documents Verification. There are certain posts in the notified test for which the CBT was held between 17th of August, 2021 to 25th of August 2021, where the prescribed qualification is Minimum Matric and Maximum 10+2 with Certificate/ITI/Diploma Trade (advertised vide Advertisement Notification No.02 of 2021 dated: 26-03-2021).

JKSSB notification for seeking of Affidavit

All such candidates who have been called for Documents Verification in respect of aforesaid posts, are hereby informed to submit an undertaking in addition to other requisite documents. The undertaking should be in the shape of an Affidavit duly attested by a Ld. Judicial magistrate 1st Class to the effect that:

  • He/she is possessing the minimum qualification of Matric and Maximum of 10+2 and he/she is not possessing the higher qualification than that is prescribed for the post as on 10-06-2021.
  • If at any stage of the selection or later on, it has been found that he/she is possessing the higher qualification than that is prescribed for the post, his/her candidature shall be cancelled ab-initio, without any further notice and he/she shall have no objection if his/her name for the Class IV post be rejected.

All such candidates shall deposit the affidavits /undertaking either at the time of Documents
Verification or in the Central Office of the J&K Services Selection Board, at Hema Complex,
Sector -3, Channi Himmat, Jammu or Zum Zum Building, Rambagh, Srinagar, by or before
06-12-2021, failing which no claim in this regard shall be entertained and the J&K Services Selection Board shall take further necessary action in the matter under rules
