JKBOPEE GNM Lateral Entry 2nd Round of Counselling 2023 Notice & Dates Issued

In a recent notification, the Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) has announced the commencement of the 2nd/Mop Up Round of Counseling for admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Lateral Entry Course-2023 in Government and Private Colleges/Institutions of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir. This round aims to fill the remaining seats, including those left vacant after the First Round of Counseling held from 17th to 19th August 2023.

Key Highlights:

  1. Schedule and Eligibility: The 2nd/Mop Up Round of (Physical) counseling will be conducted simultaneously at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar. The counseling is scheduled for 22nd and 23rd November 2023. While the first day is dedicated to candidates from specific reserved categories (CDP/ALC/IB/STK/STL/RBA), the second day is open to all candidates.
  2. Counseling Fee and Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have not participated in the earlier counseling process are required to deposit a non-refundable counseling fee of Rs. 1000/- through POS Machines available at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar, using Debit/Credit cards. It’s important to note that the counseling fee does not guarantee seat allotment. The eligibility criteria have been revised, allowing candidates with a minimum of 10 marks in the Common Entrance Test to participate.
  3. Documents Required: All participating candidates must bring original documents on the day of counseling, including:
    • Domicile certificate
    • Marks card of FMPHW/MMPHW/ANM Diploma
    • Date of Birth (D.O.B) as per matriculation certificate
    • Valid Category Certificate, if applicable
    • Medical Fitness certificate
  4. Reserved Category Conversion: The Board has outlined a process for converting vacant reserved category seats into the open merit (OM) category if eligible candidates are not available. This aligns with the provisions under Section 09 (2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.
  5. Upgradation/Allotment Procedure: During the 2nd/Mop Up Round, eligible candidates need to report to BOPEE offices in Jammu/Srinagar for registration, attendance, and fulfillment of other formalities between 08.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. on the respective days of counseling.
