Kulgam: Fifty militants including 10 Pakistani militants have been killed in Kulgam district in the last one year.

Addressing a press conference here, SSP Kulgam, G V Sundeep Chakravarthy, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that security forces have been able to eliminate 50 militants including 10 Pakistani nationals in the district.

He said that most of the killed militants belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit and their sole aim is to spread terror in the Valley.

Replying to a question, he said that their sole aim is to spread terror, recruit local youth in militant ranks and spoil their mindset.

“Our forces are working hard to zero in on them and ensure clean operations to eliminate them and prevent youth from joining them. We will eliminate their base to ensure peace in the area,” he added.

Three militants of JeM outfit were killed in two separate encounter in Kulgam district over the last two days.

J&K Police PET/PST Notification for Constables Posts Event Schedule for Physical Tests (PET/PST) for Recruitment of Constables in 02 Border Battalions of J&K Police under TRP-2019-20 (Kashmir Province)

For the recruitment of Constables in 02 Border Battalions of J&K Police, advertised vide the above-referenced notice, the J&K Police Recruitment Board (PRB) for 02 Border Battalions has formulated an event schedule (enclosed as Annexure “A” to this notification) for conduct of Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) w.e.f 06.06.2022 in respect of candidates hailing from Kashmir Province (District Baramulla, Bandipora & Kupwara).

All the applicants conforming to the prescribed educational, Physical and other required standards as per the Advertisement Notice issued on the subject are advised to download their admit cards w.e.f. 25/05/2022, 0900 hours onwards from official Website of J&K Police i.e www.jkpolice.gov.in.

All the candidates are required to bring along with them downloaded copy of admit card, valid ID proof, all original testimonials, the latest Covid-19 free (RTPCR) certificate and no risk certificate on the date of test.

The Covid (RTPCR) test must have been conducted within 48 hours from the date of physical test. The candidates are advised to adhere to Covid Appropriate Behaviour including wearing of face masks. The appearing candidates should reach the venue as per scheduled time & date reflected in their respective admits cards.

“Two new police posts in city are police post Tengpora under police station Batamaloo and police post Khimber under Police post Zakoora,” the official said, adding that a police post has been also set up at Mouchwa area Budgam that will work under police station Chadoora.

The major aim of setting up new police stations and police posts is to reach the public at their door steps and to curb various crimes in these localities, sources in the police said. “People of these areas had to travel long distances to file complaints, and for various kinds of grievance redressal. It was the long pending demand of these areas to have police stations at a short distance that stands fulfilled,” police sources said, adding the setting up of new police stations will help in better policing.

Meanwhile, Home Department of J&K issued formal order about setting up of new police stations and police posts in Srinagar and Budgam stating that new police stations have been created in terms of clause (s) of section 2 of the code of criminal procedure, 1973 while the territorial jurisdiction of these police units shall be notified separately.
