JK Govt Announces Transfers and Postings Across Various Departments

In a recent Government Order (No.776-JK(GAD) of 2024) dated March 5, 2024, several transfers and postings have been announced across different administrative positions, effective immediately. The move aims to streamline administrative functions and enhance operational efficiency. Here are the key appointments:

  1. Ms. Rifat Aftab Qureshi: Transferred from Joint Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir, to Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Wullar-Manasbal.
  2. Dr. Tahir Firdous Dutta: Moved from Additional Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, to Additional Commissioner (Central) in the office of Financial Commissioner (Revenue).
  3. Ms. Deepika Rana: Shifted from Additional Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, to Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Urban Development Agency.
  4. Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Shah: Formerly Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, holding additional charges, now transferred as Joint Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir.
  5. Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat: Reassigned from Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Wullar-Manasbal, to Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
  6. Mr. Mohamamd Rashid: Assigned as Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports, Kashmir, after awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department.
  7. Mr. Fareed Ahmad Kohli: While holding the position of General Manager, DIC, Rajouri, is now tasked with the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Rajouri.

These transfers and postings, orchestrated by the Lieutenant Governor, signify a strategic realignment within the bureaucratic framework, aimed at bolstering various departments’ operational capacities and ensuring effective governance.
