General Instructions

  • 36th Convocation of the University is likely to be held in Jan/Feb, 2023.
    (Keep visiting University’s website regularly for any information/ updates in this regard).
  • The students completed their Programme of study in December 2021 and June 2022 Term End Examinations are eligible for award of original certificate at this Convocation.
  • The students shall have to attend the Convocation and collect the certificate at his/her Regional Centre where they belong to and not at any other Regional Centre.
  • Students will be given option “To Attend Convocation in Person or receive Degree/Diploma by Post”.
  • All the students are required to fill their present Address at which they want to receive their Degree/Diploma/Certificate.
  • In case, the Convocation is not held at the Regional Centre due to any circumstances where the student belongs to, he/she shall have to attend the Convocation at other nearby Regional Centre which may be mostly in the same state/nearby state. Otherwise his/her Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate will be sent to his/her address by post. Intimation in this regard will be issued later on.
  • In case, the students are not invited to attend the Convocation or could not attend the Convocation even after submission of the requisite fee, their degree/diploma will be sent by post by the concerned Regional Centre after the convocation and in case of P.G. Certificate/Certificate Programmes, Certificate will be sent by Headquarters. Such students should therefore contact their concerned Regional Centre, where they belong to/Headquarters, as the case may be.

  2. Eligible students are required to register themselves for obtaining the Degree/Diploma/ Certificate and pay the requisite fee through Online mode only as per the details below:

    • PG Certificate/ Certificate programmes = Rs. 200/-

The students who have appeared in June 2022 Term-End Examinations for previous semester / year courses but their result is not declared as on the date of filling up the examination form may apply / add such course(s), later on, after declaration of results, if they do not complete successfully the term end examinations of any course(s).

IGNOU has released the date sheet for the exam to be held in December month of 2022. This is the tentative date sheet for the exam. As per the date sheet released by the IGNOU for the course, the exam will start on 20 December 2022 and the last exam will be held on 22 February 2022.

Except for Sundays, all weekdays will have exams. The IGNOU exams 2022 for various courses will be held in two shifts i.e Morning and Evening Shifts. Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU July registrations 2022 are extended further till August 25, 2022 for the students who want to enroll in various ODL courses offered by the Open University in the July session. Candidates who are already registered would be required to key in their User name and password to login.

Candidates applying for the IGNOU admission 2022 will be required to pay Rs 250 as an application fee. The registration fee will be non-refundable and it is mandatory to pay the fee along with the program fee for the first semester/year at the time of admission.

Candidates applying under SC/ST category can avail the fee exemption facility. An official statement by OGNOU reads, “In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications shall be rejected.”
