The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Jammu & Kashmir is inviting applications for Accreditation of News Media Representatives (Journalists, Camera Persons, Technicians)
Who can apply?

  • News Representatives

Working Journalists (Correspondents/Camera man and other categories except freelance) as defined in the Occupational, Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 engaged in news gathering/news bureau of the news organization Freelance Working Journalists not employed by any news
media organisation Veteran Journalists – having attained the age of 65 years.

(A) News Representatives

Editor/head of the organization should recommend for his/her accreditation.

For accreditation on behalf of news organizations, the journalist should be working full-time for the organisation and persons working on honorarium/ retainership/part-time basis will not be treated as working journalist for the purpose of accreditation.

Documents to be submitted: Copy of Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport.Recommendation letter from the Editor/ Editor-in- chief/ Executive Editor/ Resident Editor of the organization.

Bureau Chief in case of Bureau is functional in J&K.

Copy of the appointment letter of the present organization.
Copy of salary slips of last three months.
Copy of appointment and relieving letter of previous organization.
Clippings/photographs with byline of past six months.
Residence proof electricity bill/rent agreement/telephone bill/ Voter Card, etc.

Two Passport Size Photographs.
2.Freelance working journalists not employed by any news media organizationMinimum 15 years of professional experience as a full-time working journalist / Cameraman in news organization (s).
Must have held DIPR accreditation card for at least five years.

Documents to be submitted: Copy of Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport.
copy of appointment and relieving letter(s) of previous organization(s).
20 clippings /Photographs with byline published in past six months in case of print media.

Clippings from in-house journals will not be excepted.

For electronic journalists, links of their journalistic work numbering at least 20 in the last six months.

Two Passport Size Photographs.
3.Veteran JournalistsDirector Information in consultation with the JKMAC members may issue accreditation card to a freelance journalist in the category of veteran journalists subject to the following cumulative conditions: Journalist should have attained the age of 65 years.
Has a publicly acclaimed distinguished career as a journalist.
He/she has been a working journalist-for at least 30 years.
The accreditation card will be, eligible for automatic renewal annually for a period of 5 years from the date of issue of the accreditation card.
4.Technicians (Electronic Media)The Technicians must be working full time with the organization, duly recommended by the editor/ authorized signatory
  • Eligibility Conditions for Granting Accreditation on Behalf of Organisation/Agencies.

1. Print Media

1.Newspapers (Daily)Circulation should not be less than 10,000 copies of 8 full size pages per publishing day
2.Newspaper (Weekly/fortnightly)Circulation should not be less than 15,000 copies per (Weekly/fortnightly) publishing day.
The newspaper should be 16 pages of tabloid size for weekly & 24 pages of tabloid size for fortnightly.
3.Periodicals/MagazinesCirculation should not be less than 10,000 copies with a minimum of32 pages per publishing day.

Additional condition: The publisher should have filed annual statement with RNI for the last three consecutive years. Documents required: (@) RNI registration certificate

Circulation certificate from RNI/ABC accompanied by letter from Chartered Accountant certifying the document for newspapers with circulation above 25,000.

Newspapers whose daily circulation is between 10,000 to 25,000 should submit circulation certificate certified by CAG/RNI empaneled chartered Accountant.

In case of any issue with regard to· certification of circulation of newspapers, JKMAC is authorized and empowered to take the decision regarding circulation certification, as and when necessary.

J&K Forest Development Agency formed for Implementation of Green India Mission in the UT

Terms of reference :

  • To make recommendations and tender advice to the Central Government and to the Union territory Government relating to NCC activities on the following matters:-
    • The formation of new units and disbandment of existing units, sub- units.
    • Selection of colleges and schools which should raise units or Selection of persons for appointments as officers in the Senior and Junior divisions.
    • Any other matter which may be referred to it by the Central Government, UT Government or the Director General NCC as the case may be.
  • Issue directions and tender advice to officers commanding units of the Senior Division and Director Public Instructions on the following matters:-
    • Improvement of training and training facilities for cadets.
    • Improvement in discipline in the units.
    • General welfare of officers and cadets

JK Police promotes Imtiyaz Ismail Parray to DIG Rank

Shri Imtiyaz Ismail Parray

The Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh decorated Shri Imtiyaz Ismail Parray with DIG rank in a pipping ceremony held at Police Headquarters here today. ADGP Coordination PHQ, Shri Danesh Rana was present on the occasion.

The DGP & ADGP Coordination congratulated the officer and his family. They wished him good luck for the new assignment and a successful career ahead.

Govt orders Enquiry in the appointment of faculty members in JK IMPARD department

JAMMU: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday ordered inquiry in the appointment of faculty members in the Jammu & Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development Department (IMPA), the order issued by the Secretary to Government of J&K IAS Piyush Singla, a copy of which lies with the JKYouth Newspaper read as:

Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee comprising the following officers to enquire into the matter relating to the appointment of faculty members in Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JKIMPARD) in violation of rules:

The Committee shall also enquire into the following:

The reasons for not previously reporting to the Government the irregular appointments of the faculty members in the Institute, which pre-date the term of the current Director General.

The number of meetings of the Governing Council required to be held under norms vis-à-vis the actual number of meetings held over the last five years and whether the matter involving irregular appointments was ever brought to the notice of the Members of the Governing Council.

The Committee shall also evaluate overall functioning of the IMPARD Over the last five years and submit its recommendations for improving work/academic environment, management efficiencies and institutional integrity on sustainable basis.

The Committee shall be serviced by the J&K IMPARD and submit its report within one (01) month from the date of issuance of this order.

Jammu Kashmir Govt forms Coordination cell to check progress of online Services

Jammu: Sanction is hereby accorded to constitution of a Coordination Cell in the General Administration Department, comprising of following Officers/Officials under the overall supervision of Mr. Vikas Verma, JKAS Additional Secretary, General Administration Department, to monitor the daily progress of online services being provided in various districts of Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir:-

Further, all Administrative Departments/Heads of Departments/ Deputy Commissioners, Managing Directors of all PSUs/Corporations shall constitute similar coordination cells in their respective office(s) to monitor the progress of online services being provided by their departments/offices and shall ensure that all the services in their respective departments/jurisdiction are provided through online mode only.

The action taken report and progress in the matter shall be shared by all concerned with the General Administration Department on daily basis.
